First and foremost, anyone intending to avail GST registration in Punjab must visit the official GST portal. The portal allows individuals and businesses to apply online for a GST registration in the state.
Once the user has logged in to the portal, they will be required to fill in an online application form. The application form requires the user to enter details such as their name and address, business address, contact details, type of organization and other relevant information. After filling in the details, the application can be submitted to the portal.
Once the application has been submitted, the portal will verify the details and generate a temporary GST identification number (GSTIN) for the applicant. This GSTIN is a unique 15-digit number allotted to each registered user.
The portal then sends an acknowledgment to the user regarding the submission of the application. The user can then track the status of the application by logging into the portal.
Once the application is approved, the user will receive a GST certificate from the portal containing the GSTIN and other relevant information related to the registration.
The user can then start their business operations in Punjab under the GST framework. They will also be required to file monthly, quarterly and annual GST returns to the portal.

Step by Step companion for GST Registration in Punjab State
Step 1: Go to the GST Registration Portal by using this link: https://www.gst.gov.in
Step 2 – Please select the Services> Registration> New Registration menu item.
Step 3- The operation form is divided into two corridor .
Step 4- The New Registration runner is displayed. elect the New Registration option.
Step 5- In the I’m a drop down list, elect the Taxpayer as the type of taxpayer to be registered, also selects the state for which enrollment is needed and quarter.
Step 6- Enter your Business Legal Name as per visage Database, elect your State as “ Punjab ” and also elect District in “ Punjab State ”
Step 7 -Enter your Dispatch Address and valid Indian mobile number of the Primary Authorized Signatory.
Step 8 -In the Type the characters you see in the image below field, enter the captcha textbook and Click on “ do Button ”
Step 9 -The OTP Verification runner is displayed. In the Mobile OTP field, enter the OTP you entered on your mobile number. OTP is valid only for 10 twinkles. In the Dispatch OTP field, enter the OTP you entered on your dispatch address. OTP is valid only for 10 twinkles and Click the do button.
Step 10 -Your screen shows the Temporary Reference Number(TRN) generated by the system.

Step 11 – Re-login using your “Temporary Reference Number” and the Captcha Code.
Step 12 -The My Saved Application runner is displayed. In the Action column, select the Edit icon ( icon in blue square with white pen).
Step 13 -The Registration Application form with colorful tabs is displayed.
Step 14 – On the top of the runner, there are ten tabs as Business Details, protagonist/ mates, Authorized Signatory, Authorized Representative, star Place of Business, fresh Places of Bank Accounts, Business, Goods and Services, State-Specific Information and Verification. To enter the information, click each tab.

NOTE In case you don’t know the HSN Code In the Hunt HSN Chapter by Name or Code field, type the corresponding character and from the displayed HSN Chapter list, scroll and elect the applicable HSN law.
Step 17 – Fill the Details of Bank account and upload document
Step – 18 Verification tab This tab runner displays the details of the verification for authentication of the details submitted in the form.
Note After filling the registration operation, you need to digitally subscribe the operation using Digital hand Certificate( DSC)E-Signature or EVC. Digitally subscribing using DSC is obligatory in case of LLP and Companies
Click the SUBMIT button to save the streamlined information and documents.
Step 19 – Click do( Note Make sure your DSC dongle is fitted in your laptop/ desktop)
Step 20 – Click subscribe from the Pop- up window
Step 21 – Note To view the details of your DSC, click the View Certificate button.
Step 22 – On successful submission it’ll show communication on screen .
