In Maharashtra, registration is required
A manual registration process was in place in the state until recently. Now, the process can be completed online. Documents must be scanned and online application forms must be filled out as part of the online application process.
Documents required
In Maharashtra, partners are required to possess the following documents:
- Partnership deed certified by a notary public
- An official copy of the partnership deed for Marathi translation
- Blank stamp paper in the amount of Rs. 10
- Authorization letter signed by partners
- Covering letter with a court fee stamp of Rs.5
- A demand draft for Rs.1,600 is required
Process of registration
In Maharashtra, partnership firms must register by following the following steps:
Step 1:
The website can be accessed by logging in
The applicant has to log on to the official website https://rof.mahaonline.gov.in/IndividualRegister/IndividualRegister
Step 2:
Details must be entered
A user must complete the application form with all the details.
Step 3:
Please enter the Captcha code
The user must enter the Captcha code after entering all the details.

Register by clicking here
Click Register once the Captcha code has been entered correctly. The applicant is then registered.
The A Form
In order to register a partnership firm, Form A is used. Form A must be submitted in the following manner:
Step 1:
Raise Form A by clicking on it
Click on Raise Form A under the ‘Firm Management’ tab.
Step 2:
Details must be entered
The application form requires details like the name of the partnership, the address of the business, etc.
Step 3:
Partner with us
The applicant can add partners by clicking on ‘Add Partners’. Partner details should be entered by the applicant.
Step 4:
Documents to be attached
Application forms must be scanned and attached with the required documents.
Step 5:
Fill out the form and submit it
Once you click the Submit button, you will complete the online procedure.
Offline Procedure
After completing the online application, the applicant must complete the offline application.
Step 1:

Green Ledger paper should be used for Form A applications.
Step 2:
Application signature
In front of the designated authority, the applicant must sign the application form.
Step 3:
The form must be submitted
Application forms and all required documents must be submitted to the Registrar’s office.
Next, follow these steps:
The verification process
A person at the counter must verify the application and documents.
Step 5:
DD submission
A copy of the covering letter and authority letter will be sent to the applicant once the verification process has been completed.
